A deadly virus hits a small community living on an island in the North Sea.

The islanders of Sloborn, incuding newly pregnant 15-year-old Evelin, remain unaware of the deadly virus sweeping their island as they go about their busy lives.

As Evelin struggles with her pregnancy, more and more people are succumbing to the sickness, the origin of which policeman Mikkel begins to question.

The escape plan of Evelin and her group is in jeopardy, as new challenges arise that threaten their plan to reach the mainland.
